Marie-Louise McDermott – Director and co-founder
Marie-Louise currently delivers all of thesis coaching and most of the research services provided by Diverse Productions Pty Ltd.
- have a complete draft of their thesis,
- know that they have to do a lot of work to get to the stage of proofreading and submitting the final version of their thesis,
- know they need more help than their supervisors or on-campus support services can provide, and
- are 3 months or more from the due date for submission of their thesis.”
Marie-Louise also recruits, trains and manages research services teams required for some of the larger projects undertaken by Diverse Productions Pty Ltd.
Her current research interests include research journeys, life/wellness coaching, public blue space and sports history.
Marie-Louise holds a B Sc (Hons), a Dip Ed, an MA in Public History, a PhD in Cultural Studies, a Graduate Diploma in Sciences Communication and graduate certificates in experiential learning, adult TESOL and screen writing, as well as CELTA and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Her career included work as a science teacher, public servant, consultant, technical writer, researcher and as a teacher of English to speakers of other languages. She has worked in fields ranging from environment policy to information technology, waste management, community development, public transport and higher education.
Ian McConchie – Director and co-founder
Ian enjoys keeping Diverse Productions running smoothly even more than he enjoys cycling, movie making, photography, English grammar and working with databases.
Ian’s career included work as a licensed surveyor, an information technology professional, a technical writer, a teacher of English as a second language and a literacy tutor. Ian holds a BA in Communications, a Graduate Certificate in Adult TESOL and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
